We recently visited Barringer's Restaurant for a special evening – our first "date night" at a nicer restaurant with our 7-month-old son, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and seated us promptly. The service was outstanding, and every member of the team was attentive, professional, and warm. Despite the staffing challenges many restaurants face these days, you would never know it here. The entire team worked seamlessly together, always with a smile on their faces. The food exceeded our expectations—it was delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Barringer's has always been one of our favorite spots in Door County, and this visit only reaffirmed why. We highly recommend Barringer's for anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Whether you're having a quiet night out or a special evening with family, this is the place to go!
Was searching for nice place in downtown Fish Creek and man did Barringer's over deliver. Sat at the bar and the staff was super professional and knew everything about the menu. Cocktail's were expertly mixed. I had the blackened grouper that was cooked to perfection. Also ordered a side of brussel sprouts. From the open air bar to the atmosphere inside this was by far the best experience in Door County. I highly recommend dining here while in town.
We had a positively delightful lunch at Barringer’s! We were able to order our food at the walk-up window and eat outside in a shady spot on the patio. Perfect weather and setting for a leisurely meal. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
Yum yum yum!! Omg. I had the lobster roll - amazingly fresh. My sister had the salmon cooked and seasoned to perfection. My great-niece had a hamburger which she devoured so fast I almost didn’t see it! Everything was perfect - up to and including the creme brulee and the hot fudge sundae for dessert. We were blown away - super happy with our experience. The waiter was very funny, kind and attentive. Nice guy from Turkey.
We planned a trip to DC a couple weeks ago so I decided we should try another new restaurant. One of the reasons we wanted to try it is because they also own Rye in Appleton. Glad we decided to go. Everything was great. Food and service perfect! I ordered a mojito with a vanilla flavor to it which was great. They brought fresh warm bread and homemade whipped garlic butter that was delicious. Hubby ordered the chicken Alfredo which had amazing flavor. They flour/season and pan fry the chicken like their delicious Marsala dish at Rye which is to die for. I had the 8 oz filet medium which was also delicious! For my side I chose truffle peppardelle pasta and Parmesan cheese. The steak was perfectly seared on all sides and I chose such poivre sauce which was amazzzzzzzing! Will definitely go back!
Beautiful outdoor seating area. My husband and a few kids had the lobster roll and said it was really fantastic. A bit pricey. But they really enjoyed it. Fries were amazing. Not great fully plant based options for me. But the fries were really good!
Food and drinks were great! I enjoyed the variety of spirits available for drinks! This is my favorite piece for cocktails and dinner. Barringer's doesn't disappoint! The seafood has always been a tasty option. The outdoor seating at the bar is a perfect option on a nice day.
My husband and I celebrated our birthdays in Sister Bay, and this was one of the highlights. The Sazerac was superb, and I've had too many that weren't. Food, atmosphere and service was all top notch as well. Shout out to our laid-back yet attentive server Grant...I think that was his name anyway. This is a required stop every time we come up.
